Meet Dr. Hiba Al Shawafi

Dental Surgeon

Dr. Hiba Al Shawafi is a general dentist who is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through careful listening, clear communication, and a genuine focus on comfort. A graduate of Western University’s dental program, she provides high-quality dentistry in a calm and welcoming environment.

With a strong foundation in comprehensive care, Dr. Hiba offers a range of services, including restorative and preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontics, Invisalign®, root canal treatment, and pediatric dentistry. She takes pride in helping patients of all ages feel informed, confident, and at ease throughout their treatment.

Dr. Hiba’s academic pursuits took her to Japan, where she was part of the Oral Life Science doctoral program at the Oral Ecology department. This experience deepened her understanding of precision and evidence-based dentistry, which she continues to apply in her daily practice.

She is excited to be part of the Wortley Village community and looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and families close to home.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hiba enjoys spending time in nature, visiting farmers’ markets, listening to jazz music, exploring crafts, and learning about herbs and their traditional health benefits. She values quiet evenings and lifelong learning — qualities that reflect her thoughtful approach to both life and dentistry.

Dr. Rand Luka

Dental Surgeon

Dr. Rand Luka graduated from the University of Baghdad in 1999. He came to Canada with eight years of experience, most of which are in a hospital setting. From this experience, he brings with him set of well-rounded dental skills, including a personal interest in surgery.

Dr. Luka and his family fell in love with the city of London the moment they moved to the city to attend UWO. They decided that this was an incredible city to raise their two children. Dr. Luka attended and graduated from the ITD DDS program at Western University in 2013, where he was also awarded the “Dr. Glenn Walker Award” for demonstrating high academic achievement, leadership, and interpersonal and clinical skills.

Dr. Luka has been passionate about technology advancements and the digital world from a young age. Since starting a private practice in London, Dr. Luka has been working hard through continuing education to sharpen his skills and learn how to utilize the latest technology in dentistry.

Today, Dr. Luka is one of the leading forces in digital dentistry in Ontario, and our practice is a leading practice in implementing cutting-edge technology and the latest in the dental world, like placing implants with a digital workflow, same-day conversions for all-on-x surgeries, same-day crowns and bridges, digital smile designs, 3D printed Dentures, night guards and splints and others.

When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Luka values and enjoys family time with his wife and two children. He volunteers his time to contribute to the community by pastoring a small Arabic speaking church. He also likes playing soccer on the field and in video games, and he enjoys all types of music. Dr. Luka even plays a little saxophone, pan flute and keyboard.

Dr. Luka is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and the London and District Dental Society, and a mentor with CDOCS.com (Cerec Doctors).
